Who we are: The Pioneer Valley Radio Control Club is composed of about 100 members dedicated to the hobby of radio controlled flight. Members build and fly airplanes and helicopters and offer training to new members. The club is open to anyone with an interest in the hobby. Before flying, you must have a current AMA card. | ||||||||||||||||||||
where we are | ||||||||||||||||||||
Where we fly: The club maintains a 25 acre flying field along Rt. 10 in Westfield, Massachusetts, across the street from Barnes Airport. The field contains a radio impound to avoid radio frequency conflict, 5 pilot pads, a 100 yard by 15 yard grass runway plus two helicopter pads. Hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks are available most weekends during prime flying weather. | ||||||||||||||||||||
when we meet | ||||||||||||||||||||
Monthly meetings: a meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month. Weather permitting, meetings are held at the flying field. Club events: The club holds "fun flys" periodically.
