Week One: Genesis. | |||||||||||||||||||
Cirling the edges of Heaven the Sepharhi, warrior angels are sworn to guard paradise from any and all threats. Chosen form the most gifted of the Sephari, Adalanphi is tasks with potrolling the border between heaven and hell. After eons spent cirling the bounderies of pain and pleasure, in a momentary lapse in concentration Adalanphi glanced up and caught the eye of a beauty he didn't think possible. Siptus, temptor of the alternate. Seductus primus. Mercinary, hired by Lucifer, to wage phsy-ops upon the agents of heaven, paced the wall on the outer rim of hell. Siptus, in a moment of respite glances up and is caught in Adelanphi's gaze. Their eyes met for just a second. A momentary lapse. A glance that lingered a fraction too long. Consumed by passion, overtaken by lust, gripped by the freedom denied to these selfless servants throughout there eternal existance. Adalanphi and Siptus do the wild thing. Adalanphi, knew that consequences of being caught by her fellow Sephari would result in being cast down. Siptus also knew that despite his mission to seduce, he was tasked with enticing the Sephari to cross over not to meet them halfway, would faced the wrath of Lucifer if news of their act were to get out. The secret had to be hidden. In time Adalanphi crept out of hiding and flew down to the edge to heaven to meet with Siptus. Time had run its course, the secret would very soon bare fruit. Steps had to be taken and a permanent safe haven found for the child to be. However before the discussion is concluded a fleet of Sepharhi on routine patrol uncover the illicit meeting. Battle commences. Surprised and outnumbered Siptus is destroyed. Turning, too late to Adalanphi, the feet of Sephari are blinded by a lightspeed blast of pure life energy. A charging stream of existence erupting from Adelanphi's womb. The soul is born. For her transgression, Adelanphi is cast down. Bannished from Heaven to live out a eternity of immortal life. The Adelphi, the functionary angels, the thinkers, the makers, charged with the administration of Heaven are given the task of containing the new born soul. A new uncontained rouge-soul, unhoused in human form, repressents uncharteed territory, possessive of an unprecedented power and thus feared, even in heaven. The task of containment is acheived albeit temporarily, by a theological postulate dreamed up by an Adelphi think-tank. The soul was housed in holding area bound by the limitation of imagination. Without the inspiration and practical application capabilities that can only be provided by a human body, the human soul is left immobilised. The Adelphi failed however, to calculate the impact that prolonged containment would have upon the soul. After 24 hours of immobilisation the soul began to overheat. Three hours later the soul went critical. Tearing loose form it's teathers the supercharged rogue-soul streamed from the gates of heaven into the world. It's goal. To find a human in which to roost. | |||||||||||||||||||

Concepts for "Genesis" are taken from Garth Ennis/Steve Dillon's "The Preacher". They tell it much better than I do, and I highly recommend you read any and all of "The Preacher" series.
