Floodlit sunlight shining bright,
all day long I feel the light.
pressing down upon your face,
feel the heat that I embrace.
Children playing with there cones,
parents lay outside there home.
Birds still singing in the trees,
a girl that fell and grazed her knees.
Grass is greener than before,
flowers blooming more and more.
This I remember from my past,
the summertime would always last.
