This is how I made my vaporizer:
Materials
- Empty ice cream tub
- A big jar (glass is best)
- A cheap soldering iron (I got one for �5 from a market)
- A metal thimble
- A nail
- A plastic pipe
- A dimmmer switch (optional)
Method
- Turn the ice cream tub up-side down and stick the jar lid onto it
- Make two holes through the lid into the base
- Make two holes through the side of the tub
- Pass the plastic pipe through the side of the base and up through the lid
- Put the soldering iron upright in the lid and pass the cable out through the side of the base
- Hammer the nail through the thimble, then take it out again
- Take the bit out of the top of the soldering iron
- Saw the point off the nail leaving about 1.5cm
- Attach the thimble to the
soldering iron with the nail
- Screw / glue the jar onto the top of the ice cream tub
Extras
If you want to improve the basic vaporizer design you can connect an electric dimmer switch to the power cable to control the temperature. Also you could make a box out wood and replace the nasty looking ice cream tub. You can make a small rush hole in the lid of the jar and put a small metal pipe going from the base to the top of the jar, which allows air in.
Usage
Put what you want to vaporize into the bowl (thimble) and switch on. After a while smoke will start filling the chamber and it is ready to use. Try tapping the jar and watch what happens.
If it starts to glow, it is burning instead of vaporising, so switch off (or turn the temperature down if you have fitted a dimmer)
