ELVIS SIGHTING

I was cat-fishing down at the river one night
When up in the starry sky there came such a sight
A U F O came down and landed next to me
And who came out the door but Elvis Presley!
He said "Sorry to disturb ya thea ma frien
But ahm tryin ta find ma way round heaw agean
Ahw been gone fo a while an thangs don't look tha same"
We shook hands and I told him my name
I said "Grab ya a seat an sit fer a spell
I'll bet you've got some stories ta tell
And theres lots of things round here thats changed
I should fill ya in cuz there not tha same!"
I poured a hot cup and handed it to-im
He looked as young and slim as when we all knew-im
He told me bout his travels to tha distant stars
And i told him bout tha changes in women and cars
He talked bout his hit songs in outer space
I told him bout tha terrorism and wars from place ta place
We drank more coffee and talked into tha night
Him-a-singin an me tellin jokes musta been quite a sight!
Finaly he said he had ta be on his way
Did'nt think it'd work out if-in he wuz ta stay
He invited me ta go along an see the Cozmos
I wonder at times if I shoulda gone I suppose
I told em I recon I'd better stick around
I'm tha kind a fella that likes ta keep his feet on tha ground
As he climbed in his sauscer I said "Yall stay in touch"
He smiled an said "I will Mystic, thank you, thank ya very much!"
