TORNADO

The thunder clapped, and the lightning flashed,

And the next thing that we saw,

Was a raindrop, on the window splashed.

And the wonder, and the awe.

It was so powerfull, it was awesome,

The storm that quickly grew.

With rain in sheets, just like the veil,

Of the bride going to her groom.

The dark clouds dipped, and swirled 'round,

As they moved across the sky.

Sweeping everything up off the ground,

The tornado was flying high.

The wind roared loud, and swooped, and spun,

And frightened all the land.

The creatures fell into a run, and valiantly,

we made our stand.

When we emerged, from our hiding place,

The familiar wasn't there.

The creatures were drifting back to us,

But we didn't know from where.

We did our best, and we won't give up,

And we'll soon forget the pain.

This is our place, our perfect nest.

And we'll build it all again.
