THE DIVA'

April 8, 1999 - The early morning hours before take - off and FB is "ALL SHOOK UP"!!!!! Tummy doing flip flops at the thought of getting on the airplane. Thank God for Tranqs!! It's amazing what we'll do to keep ourselves busy.. especially when the nerves are shot!!!! It's 3:00 am.... I've had my shower, done my hair... basically ready to go. I can't believe the day is finally here. Our flight leaves at 7:30 am but we have to be at the airport at 5:30.. and we can't smoke in there !! Ouch !! I find myself pacing back and forth, checking and double-checking my suitcase... I have the plane tickets, my money, clean underwear...(double check again...yep...still clean ! lol). Most people do not understand my fear of flying... yes, I have flown, and no, I've never enjoyed it !! It scares me to death !!! So, instead of pacing, I sit here and write this little ditty !! And I'm still shaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Twas the night before Vegas,
and all through the House;
Not a creature was stirring,
Except me and my mouse.

The kids were all tucked in,
all snug in their beds;
as I hugged them both gently,
and kissed their foreheads.

I'm shaking and nervous,
as I think about flying;
So, I read Tim's song again,
I'm laughing, not crying !!

My suitcase is packed,
I'm already to go;
It's dark as I sit here,
Waiting for Tess to show !!

When I get in the car,
I'm gonna scream "I'm Free";
Look out Las Vegas !!
HERE COME TESS AND FB !!

Well, the time has come for me to turn off my computer and watch for Tess to arrive. I can't believe the day has finally arrived. I'm going on a plane, and at 10:00 am we will be in Las Vegas, free to have fun and enjoy ourselves. The next time I come back to this page, the holiday will be over, but the memories will be with me forever, both in my head and in the next few webpages. Yes, I have a notebook in my purse, and a pen or two. Anything I think our friends will enjoy hearing about, will be recorded in ink and transcribed on the pages, together with pics!! So, grab a coffee, or a glass of wine, or a beer, or whatever, sit back, listen to the music, read the pages and look at the pictures. Most of all, Enjoy Yourself here.....as I'm sure Tess and I will have the time of our lives !!

April 11, 1999 - Wow, we're back. I thought this page was going to be easy..... a snap... just write everything down. Boy, was I wrong. Getting tears in my eyes just thinking about the holiday. It was a very special time for me and it will never be forgotten. Before I start my little diary of the Tess and FB holiday, I would just like to say a few words about my very special friends I got to see while in Las Vegas....and I know these words are coming from Tess's heart too.

CHEERS TO VEGASKINDAGUY - I don't think I can find words to adequately describe what a very special guy Vegas is. Never in my life have I been treated with such kindness.......you made us both feel so special Tim.....We will never be able to thank you enough...... Love ya *SMOOOOOOOCH*........HORSE HEAD !!

CHEERS TO BUNZOOOO - Thanks for being at the airport with Tim to greet us as we arrived. Your smile is out of this world !!!! We enjoyed every minute we had with you......and thanks from Tess for introducing her to Jaegermeister...... or as she calls it Burger Meister, Meister Burger !! Cheers Eric !! Love ya *SMOOOOOCH*

CHEERS TO GOT_NICK - Yes Nick, I put you last....just so I can hear you whine !! Go ahead....call me wench!! Actually Nick, this little tribute to you 3 very special guys was done in the order we met you. So there !! You can't complain. You should have taken Thursday and Friday off work, and beat Tim and Eric to the airport! Now that I got that out of the way, Yes Nick... you too are very special, as was the time we got to spend with you. And please know this, you are the only person (besides my kids), I've ever shared my chapstick with!! Love ya *SMOOOOOOOOOOOOCH*
