FB GOES TO THE UK

Well, where do I start???? The past few months of my life have been full of surprises and a whole lot of happiness. Beginning with one trip to Las Vegas, then a second, and then an unexpected trip to England.

Roger and I met on-line in the late spring of last year. We became very good friends, speaking to each other often. When I went on the first trip to Las Vegas, I wanted so much for Roger to go as well, but he was unable to. Then came the second trip, and when Roger said he wanted to go too, I was beyond ecstatic. Finally, after a year of talking to him, I was going to meet him !!!!! Well, the meeting in Las Vegas was a success as you can see from the Divas Part Deux webpage..... we got along just as well in person as we did on-line, not that I was paranoid or anything (that was Rogers job). Then, as all good things must come to an end, we both went back to our respective countries with the idea that we would meet again sometime in the months ahead.

Well, it wasn't months that went by, it was two weeks!! In the middle of June, Roger and I were talking on the phone trying to figure out when we could see each other again. My birthday is the first of July which is also Canada Day, a statutory holiday which happened to fall on a Thursday. I could take the Friday and Monday off and have a 5 day weekend. Roger suggested coming to England and spending my birthday there. I thought, wow, England for 4 nights?? That's crazy ! But the more I thought about it the more I loved the idea. So, with some help from Chrissy, Roger, and Bob and Jane (Rogers friends), I had a ticket to England and a passport!! And I couldn't believe, that I, being the non-flying person that I am, was going to sit on a plane for nearly 12 hours.....
