Course how to draw a straight line part 1
( part 2 - 6 will follow soon )

To draw a straight line you will have to get yourself a few tools and materials.
For lesson 1 we want you to get;

  - a ruler, the size of the ruler is important ! the longer the ruler is the longer you can make your line.

-a sheet of white paper. You can download your sheet of paper on the following page click here

- a pensil, you could take a pen to or anything else that writes on the paper. If you don't know if the pen or pensil you have will write on paper call the local nuthouse to ask them, keep your adress nearby, you probably will need it for them.

- a table. The size of the table is not of any importance.

lesson 1

put the sheet of paper on the table, make sure you are able to reach it so don't put it to far on the table.

Now place your ruler on the sheet of paper with the flat side down. You will see that a part of the paper disappears under your ruler, do not be afraid it will come back, you did not loose it !

now comes the hardest part of this lesson
hold the ruler with one hand to the sheet and place the pencil against the ruler. Now slowly move the pencil alongside the ruler holding both the pensil and the ruler.

Now remove the pencil from the paper and put it on the table. next you remove the ruler from the paper ( you will see the disappeared paper comes back ) and place it on the table to.

If you did it right you will have a straight line on the paper now. If there is no straight line you can try this lesson again, Use a new sheet of paper every time you try this lesson to keep your local store happy.
