**Quake & Tiki**
Quake ("Quaker") was already named when he arrived at my old house...
Certainly not a very exciting or unusual name but he already had a firm hold of that name and i
would hear it often as he sat on top of his medium cage sitting in the living room...
He seemed to be taken with me from the get go .. though i could tell he missed his
previous owner, though he was only a year and a half old he still had his strongbonding instincts ...
but was following me around the house with in days of our first meeting ..
After moving across town and into a larger house i decided it was time for a larger cage..
something that complimented him and give him room to play while i was at work..
and for my birthday thats all i asked for " a bigger cage for Mr Quake please !"
and it payed off ... Mathew got his wish and so did Q man :)
How ever apon being presented with said new cage Mathew was also given ...
"A Small BOX!!"
a small box that let out a famillier shrill when set gently apon a nearby table,
and a small green face beamed from within the box..
It was love at first sight, i could tell how happy quaker was to be with
a famillier face, .. someone who wasnt a giant to him ..
After alot of thought this new face was named "Tiki " after the jade spirit wards
from New Zealand that you often see as neck laces or trinklets ..
Tiki picked up right away all of Quake's sayings and favorite phrases and added a
few of his own incorporating his own name into their usual babble .. as well as
things regularly heard in the house e.t.c ..
And now the 2 are inseparable..
many people say having two birds is sometimes a problem as they will usually shut you out..
luckily this has never been a problem with the Quakers and i have a very strong bond
with both equally..
