Star light, star bright,
what a lovely, welcome sight.
I wish I may, I wish I might,
be rescued from this lonely night.
I can see and I can hear.
I feel awe and I feel fear.
I can laugh and shed a tear.
And I know, O Lord, you're always near.
So when I close my eyes and pray
at the start and end of day,
I open up my heart and say,
"Thanks for showing me the way."
