BUILDING YOUR COLLECTION: Combination Style

Combination Beyblades strike a balance between two or more of the following: Attack (ability to knock an opponent off balance), Defense (ability to maintain one's own balance) and Endurance (ability to keep on spinning). Choosing the right parts can seem like an overwhelming task, especially to a new Beyblader. Thank goodness for guides like this, eh? 

First priority- start out with:

Burning Kerberous- contains 10-wide weight disk and 1 removable NSK bearing
Bistool
Driger S
Flash Leopard- contains 10-heavy weight disk, Magnetic North Neo Right spin gear and SG Semi-Flat blade base
Dranzer V2- contains 10-balance weight disk  

Each of these blades is already a powerful combination-type by itself. If you like, you can upgrade Bistool in the following two ways (the first one is extremely effective, a wonderful all-rounder):

ATTACK RING: Bistool
WEIGHT DISK: 10-balance
BLADE BASE: Bistool

ATTACK RING: Bistool
WEIGHT DISK: 10-balance or 10-heavy-- see which one suits you better
SPIN GEAR: Magnetic South Neo Right or Magnetic North Neo Right-- see which one suits you better 
BLADE BASE: SG Semi-Flat

Here's a popular customization known as Compact Combo, which is equally well-balanced in Attack, Defense and Endurance:

ATTACK RING: Driger S
WEIGHT DISK: 10-heavy
SPIN GEAR: Magnetic South Neo Right
BLADE BASE: SG Semi-Flat

For butt-kickin' Attack/Endurance combos, use these parts:

ATTACK RING: Bistool, Dranzer V2, Driger S or Flash Leopard-- whichever works best for you
WEIGHT DISK: 10-balance or 10-wide-- see which one suits you better
SPIN GEAR (if not using Burning Kerberous base): Magnetic South Neo Right or Neo Right MW-- see which one suits you better
BLADE BASE: Burning Kerberous, Driger S or Dranzer V2-- see which one suits you better

Second priority- aim to get these next:

Bearing Stinger- contains 1 NSK bearing
Draciel
Driger V2- contains 10-balance weight disk and Magnetic South Neo Right spin gear
Galeon- contains SG Semi-Flat blade base
Voltaic Ape- contains Magnetic North Neo Right spin gear and Magnetic weight disk

Bearing Stinger's shaft works with two bearings: a metal one (NSK) and a plastic one. You can replace the plastic one with an NSK bearing from Burning Kerberous, so it'll now have two NSK bearings. This will give it a huge performance boost. 

Now it's time to make some Endurance/Attack combos:

ATTACK RING: Bistool, Dranzer V2, Driger S, Driger V2, Flash Leopard or Galeon-- whichever works best for you
WEIGHT DISK: 10-balance or 10-wide-- see which one suits you better
SHAFT AND BLADE BASE: Bearing Stinger with 2 NSK bearings, or Burning Kerberous-- see which one suits you better

Draciel's blade base is rather nifty-- it can be used for Defense/Attack or Defense/Endurance combos with the following parts:

ATTACK RING: Bistool, Galeon or Flash Leopard (for Defense/Attack), Driger S (for Defense/Endurance)
WEIGHT DISK: 10-heavy
BLADE BASE: Draciel

Driger V2 is a lovely Attack/Endurance combo by itself. You can also use its parts for more Attack/Endurance combos in the following ways:

ATTACK RING: Driger V2
WEIGHT DISK: 10-balance or 10-heavy-- see which one suits you better
SPIN GEAR: Magnetic South Neo Right
BLADE BASE: Driger S, Dranzer V2 or SG Semi-Flat

ATTACK RING: Bistool, Dranzer V2, Driger S, Galeon, Flash Leopard or Wolborg-- whichever suits you best
WEIGHT DISK: 10-balance or 10-heavy-- see which one suits you better
SPIN GEAR: Magnetic South Neo Right
BLADE BASE: Driger V2
SUPPORT PARTS: Dranzer V2 or Driger V2-- see which one suits you better. You may also want to try Dragoon V2's support parts (see below).

Voltaic Ape is insanely powerful on its own. If you like, you can slightly improve its Attack power with these configurations (however, its Defense will slightly decrease):

ATTACK RING: Bistool, Dranzer V2 or Galeon-- whichever suits you best
WEIGHT DISK: Magnetic, 10-balance or 10-heavy-- whichever suits you best
SPIN GEAR: Magnetic North Neo Right
BLADE BASE: Voltaic Ape

After you get the important stuff, you may also want to try these:

Auto-Change Balancer
Draciel F
Dragoon V2
Wolborg- contains 1 NSK bearing
Wolborg 2- contains 1 NSK bearing

Get more Endurance from Auto-Change Balancer's base with Off the Chain's First Endurance Technique. This causes it to start out in Endurance mode instead of Attack mode, greatly improving its performance:

1) Remove the Attack Ring 
2) Hold moving part of base with thumb & index finger 
3) Rotate counter-clockwise until the pointy end of the base comes out
4) Replace Attack Ring 
5) Slightly rotate Attack Ring so the launcher can be inserted

Once you've done that, you can try out these configurations:

ATTACK RING: Auto-Change Balancer, Bistool, Driger S, Driger V2, Dranzer V2, Wolborg or Wolborg 2-- whichever works best for you
WEIGHT DISK: 10-balance or 10-wide-- see which one suits you better
BLADE BASE: Auto-Change Balancer in First Endurance mode

Wolborg's blade base has terrific Endurance. Make it an Endurance/Attack combo with a few little touches:

ATTACK RING: Auto-Change Balancer, Bistool, Dranzer V2, Driger S, Driger V2, Flash Leopard, Galeon, Wolborg  or Wolborg 2-- whichever works best for you
WEIGHT DISK: 10-balance or 10-wide-- see which one suits you better
SHAFT AND BLADE BASE: Wolborg

ATTACK RING: Wolborg
WEIGHT DISK: 10-balance
SPIN GEAR: Magnetic South Neo Right. You can also try putting the magnetic south core into a Dragoon V2 spin gear casing to make this a left-spin combo. 
BLADE BASE: Driger S

For a Defense combo with fairly good Endurance, take the shaft out of Draciel F's blade base (but don't remove the metal balls). Replace it with Wolborg's, Wolborg 2's or Burning Kerberous' shaft, or Bearing Stinger's shaft inside Wolborg's spin gear casing. Then combine it with these:

ATTACK RING: Auto-Change Balancer, Bistool, Dranzer V2, Driger S, Driger V2, Flash Leopard, Galeon, Wolborg  or Wolborg 2-- whichever works best for you
WEIGHT DISK: 10-balance or 10-wide-- see which one suits you better
SHAFT: Wolborg, Wolborg 2 or Burning Kerberous, or Bearing Stinger inside Wolborg spin gear casing
BLADE BASE: Draciel F

A combo with these parts can easily shrug off the heaviest beatings. Just watch out for high-Endurance blades like uncustomized Driger S, Dranzer S, Dranzer V2 and Endurance combos with Bearing Stinger's, Wolborg's, Burning Kerberous' or Auto-Change Balancer's base.

You can also do this same trick with Dragoon V2's blade base-- remove the tip and replace it with Wolborg's, Wolborg 2's or Burning Kerberous' shaft, or Bearing Stinger's shaft inside Wolborg's spin gear casing, as described above. For support parts, experiment with Dranzer V2's, Driger V2's and Dragoon V2's. Play around with the parts listed below for Attack/Endurance combos:

ATTACK RING: Bistool, Dranzer V2, Driger S, Driger V2, Flash Leopard, Galeon, Wolborg  or Wolborg 2-- whichever works best for you
WEIGHT DISK: 10-balance or 10-wide-- see which one suits you better
SHAFT: Wolborg, Wolborg 2 or Burning Kerberous, or Bearing Stinger inside Wolborg spin gear casing
BLADE BASE: Dragoon V2
SUPPORT PARTS: Dragoon V2, Dranzer V2 or Driger V2-- whichever works best for you

Auto-Change Balancer's, Wolborg's and Wolborg 2's attack rings are good for putting on these bases, giving an Attack and Endurance one-two punch:

ATTACK RING: Auto-Change Balancer, Wolborg or Wolborg 2
WEIGHT DISK: 10-balance, 10-heavy or 10-wide-- whichever works best for you
SPIN GEAR (if not using Bearing Stinger or Burning Kerberous base): Magnetic South Neo Right or Neo Right MW-- see which one suits you better
BLADE BASE: Bearing Stinger with 2 NSK bearings, Burning Kerberous, Driger S, Driger V2, Dranzer V2 or SG Semi-Flat
