Interview: Tamer Brad

Q:Where are you from? Could you please briefly describe what your area is like?

A: I'm from a peaceful part of Hamilton in Ontario, Canada. It's quite nice here, actually...there's not much to describe, it's your typical city.

Q: What's your occupation?

A: I don't have an occupation ^^; me and my friend are currently trying to get some sort of Beyblade business started up.

Q: What are your other interests aside from Beyblading?

A: Well, I love to write and draw. I'm an avid reader of manga and viewer of anime. Some of my favourite series are Hikaru no Go, .hack, Digimon Tamers, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Naruto...I also get a kick out of decorating my room.

Q: How popular is Beyblading in your area?

A: Well, someone has to be buying them all before I get there. xD

Q: How long have you been Beyblading?

A: As of this writing, about a year.

Q: How did you first get into Beyblading?

A: One word, baby: Kai. I watched the anime and he was super cool. So I guess it was the anime that got me into it.

Q: If you've been in any Beyblade tournaments, could you please describe your tournament history, along with any awards you've won?

A: I was in two tournaments, both in the same day. Got knocked out of the first one in round 1, got 2nd place in the second tournament. Lost to the same guy twice, you might know him, his name is Ichida. I can beat him easily now. ^_^;

Q: How do you develop your combos/customizations-- do you experiment on your own, research Beyblade sites on the Internet, get ideas from friends, etc?

A: Research, ask others, and try out everything that seems logical to my mind. Trial and error is the best process.

Q: What are your favorite Beyblade parts to use for customizations, and why?

A: Ohhh boy, you had to get me started.

Bearing Stinger shaft: Mad endurance.
Tiger Defense (Driger S attack ring): Because it's awesome?
Try-Wing (Trygle attack ring): Nice smash attack.
Storm Grip (Dragoon S base): Good movement speed.

We'd be here all day if we listed all of them :\

Q: What's your favorite customization? What are its features? Where did you get the idea for it? (If you have more than one favorite customization, please feel free to talk about the others if you want.)

A: I like too many customizations equally ^_^; Serious Bladers shouldn't prefer one custom over all others.

Q: What is/are your favorite uncustomized Beyblade(s), and why?

A:

Driger Slash: All good parts, works well.
Most HMS: Shooting skill is really important for HMS, sometimes more important than customization.
Dranzer V2, Driger V2: Look at them! They're fine.

Q: What shooter do you use?

A: EZShooter + Customize Grip + Rubber Grips.

Q: Where do you buy your Beyblades?

A: Online, ideal808.com. When shopping...where ever I can find them.

Q: How do you sharpen your Beyblading skills, and how often do you do it?

A: Play, play, play :D I play a lot against myself. I do it for about an hour a day.

Q: How often do you participate in Beyblade battles?

A: Whenever I can.

Q: Do you have any favorite Beyblade websites? If so, what are they?

A: Just Beyblade Damashii ^^; most Beyblade sites are useless to me.

Q: Lastly, do you have any advice for aspiring Beyblade champs?

A: Yes - stop sending me your damn questions.
