Ok I'm sure there are people out there that are disgusted with the way children act towards parents/adults as well as other authority figures. Well that's because no one hits/spanks their kids anymore.

Now most people around the age of 25 and older got a few good spankings now and then when they did something wrong. And for the most part when children got spanked they thought "hey lets not do that again or I'll get spanked." But today we have "time out" or take something away. Well excuse me when i say what the hell does that do. If you got a pain in the rear child, giving him a time out kinda might go like this.

Parent: You are taking a time out
Child: NO
Parent: Yes you are, go sit and think about it.
Child: NO
Parent picks child up puts him on the couch/chair what ever
Child gets up and runs around the house

Now, short of tieing the child up in the chair or something, which is "wrong" too, the parent gets frustrated and ends up beating the shit outta the kid.

Ok maybe that's extreme but think about it if the parent just gave a couple spanks on the child's bum and sent him to his room crying (no nintento etc in room, but that's another topic) he would sit cry and think about it and think "well if i do that i get spanked maybe i won't do that"

Now I'm not say lace into the pour child with all your strength, but showing authority gives them an "authority figure" just telling them, that was bad because, doesn't mean its not fun. How many parents do thing that are "dangerous" or "wrong" because its fun. Thought so.

I'm not a child therapist, and I'm not trying to change people, I'm just trying to give another point of view to ignorant people.

Remember...Fear is the greatest teacher, if they fear something bad will happen they won't do it. Just look at the old testament, God was pissed a lot and we feared him so we did good things, (well most of us).

There is always gonna be bad children and good children, so just love them!!!

One last point, remember its not just discipline, reward them as well when they do something right
