Norway, 0ktober 1999
.
I spent my autumn holidays in Norway. In the End
of Oktober I went to Oslo.
.
This is the view from the Fram-Museum on Oslo.
.
This is also from the Fram-museum, but into the other
direction. Looks so asiatic, doesn't it?
.
If you go to the top of the Holmenkollen, Oslo's
skijump tower you'll get this nice view.
.
The skijump tower is conneccted with the ski museum.
There I could get amused by these cool snowboards from the 70ies and 80ies.
.
Me looking down to the habour from the Akershus fortress.
.
This is what I saw.
.
The Vigelandpark in Oslo. The Artist Vigeland filled this park
with his sculptures.
.
... some really strange ones, too.
.
the church yard, close to where I stayed in Oslo.
.
the Skanzen, a artificial "village", made by collecting all the
ancient cottages and churches of Norway in one place.
.
.
After four days of checking
out all the museums (Since I was comletely on my own, I didn't dear to
check out the nightlife)
my friend Jessica, who was
exchange-student like me in this little hole Vara, came to visit me. How
nice it was, not to sleep alone in this old, unused and empty flat (that
was for free because the house should be torn down)!
Together we went on this triangle
tour through Norway. We had only three days and the weather sucked.
Don't copy us, it's not worth
it. Here some pictures of this depressing trip.
.
watefall that we passed on our way to the fjords with the
flåmbahn.
.
from the train on our way to Myrdahl
.
arrived at the fjords it started to rain. this is the end of our
boat tour where at least some rays of sunlight passed through the fucking
clouds.
.
this is Myrdahl. Idyllic, isn't it?
.
there was water coming from everywhere. the whole landscape was
so rusty.
.
this was at the trainstation in Myrdahl
.
hehe...grrr... my smile was soon away.
.
from the train. see Jessica's reflection in the screen?
.
this is actually very beautiful I think. Rusty, cold, norwegian.
I love it!
.
Titanic
.
Bergen. such a awesome town. Unfortunately there's rain on 70%
of the days and when we were there the sun shone for exactly 4 hours. And
the wind blowed me away when I went up with the Floybahn to the top of
the hill to have a view over Bergen. Oh, and yes, I locked my camera in
the locker at the trainstation, so that I only could take this one pic
from the boat when we were leaving for Stavanger.
.
Don't remind me of this boat
trip. I was really sea sick. REALLY SEA SICK.
I was so glad that I could
lay down on Jessica's knees because this helped me much to feel relief.
(A friend's comment: "Oh, that's
the first step into sea sicknes..." - me: "I WAS SEA SICK! I PUKED ALL
THE TIME AND I WAS GREENER THAN TRAFFIC LIGHTS!" - he: "No, if you're really
sea sick, you first are afraid that you'll die. And then you become afraid
that you won't die.")
.
I don't have pics from the
rest of the trip, because it just sucked. My mood was the worst and poor
Jessica couldn't resist it.
Here some postcards we bought
at the fjords to show how it all was supposed to look like.
Just imagine being there. Isn't
it just incredibly beautiful?
.
.
.
Well, that's all from us two, Jessica and me...
