I was born in 1967, as a cartoonist, in
Paderborn, Germany.
As this is supposed to be the most catholic
and most conservative town in Germany (apart from Bavaria, wich is not
a town, but is it Germany, anyway?) some of my cartooning deals with theese
issues (the roman church, and conservatism). Other cartoons are about normal
life... (what's that?).
Like that series called "drawn by life".
You'll find some of them at this site.
My cartoon book "Pommes für den Papst"
(intelligent people would translate this title: "French fries for the father")
was published by Eichborn Verlag (this site is in german!) in Frankfurt.
It is strongly recommended not to be read by hardcore catholics!
Also I am working for some local magazines
(the ones who are less narrow minded!). I did some book illustrations too.
I love to illustrate children's books, as I found out that children
realy like my drawings.(thanks good they can't read)
I am an "universal dilletant", that is
to say, I don't care about any arts school diploma or things like that.
I prefer the autodidactic way.
Although I visited the GTA (designer`s
technical assistent) course for 3 years, I learned the realy important
things by
myself. And I don't regret that.
... to be continued!
