The topic of left-handedness has recently surfaced on a few of the International
Astrological Research eLists. To our knowledge, no extensive work has been done in this
area to date. This is a topic that we are quite interested in researching. We have already
started a collaborative effort with the President of the Astrological Association in Turkey,
who has been collecting data in his country. What our group has to offer in this area of
research is a working experience with the latest software designed for sound scientific
astrological research. This software has been developed by Alphee Lavoie, of Connecticut,
and Sergey Tarassov, a Russian scientist in Canada, of A.I.R. Software
www.aphee.com.
Both Alphee and Sergey work with our group. This program, "Astro Investigator," employs
standard statistical tools such as control groups, Chi Square and Neuro Net.
With the wonderful lists of left-handed "celebrities" on the Internet, we are able to
collect a few hundred names for which birth data will not be too difficult to find, however,
we will need more birth charts to perform a representative study. We are asking if you
would care to support this project by sending us your birth data and perhaps data of other
friends and family members whom you know to be left-handed. Also, if you could spread the
word, that would be fabulous! All information will be kept confidential and anonymous.
You do not need to put names with the data. What we need to know for each left-handed
person is the following:
Date of Birth (including Year)
Time of Birth (please specify A.M. or P.M. or "Unknown" if you are not sure)
Place of Birth (City, State, Country if not U.S.)
