"Billy's Dead"
By: Dennis Biggar
Well I lost my mind
in the frisbee skies
Amidst the boomerang lies
But it was only puddles in disguise
I flew over your house
touching down
I saw your mom
chasing monkey in her gown
I asked her if you could play
She said, "No way,
because Billy's dead today"
"Have you any pleasant news?"
I asked with a grin.
She said "Fuck off, you can't come in
you're a just a silly little man
and your head is too thin"
I decided to go
and visit my friend Joe
who had been swimming in the mud
with the clown children so
I yelled at him
Because it wasn't right
I rolled into the mud
And we started to fight
You're swimming with clown Children!
And Billy is dead!
His mom is chasing monkeys!
And I'm fucked in the head!
"You're just a silly little man
who thinks he can fly"
said my muddy friend Joe
As he poked out my eye.
Then suddenly I realized
as I searched for my eye
that I wasn't me
And Billy didn't have to die
At this Moment of true insight
I leaped into a dance
I had dreamed my own existence
And I peed in my pants
I woke up later
in my comfy asylum bed
And forgetting I was crazy
Put a bullet in my head
My name is Billy
And that is how I came to die
I was just a silly little man
Who thought he could fly
