Congratulations to my buddy Jon Keane on getting his letter published in this week's Rolling Stone:
"Rob Sheffield had a lot of gall to compare the musical agenda of Rage Against the Machine - the first group since Public Enemy to find a niche for revolutionary politics in mainstream music - to that of Limp Bizkit, a band that does little more than provide sex-obsessed anthems for hormonally charged adolescent males. I suppose Fred Durst intended to distance women from the sex-object stigma by appearing in a porno flick? Please - Limp Bizkit's sudden popularity is based entirely on the song "Nookie," the chorus of which is an all-too-convenient mantra for the bucket-hat-wearing frat boy who regards sex as a form of conquest."
Couldn't have said it any better, dude.
