Fighting Techniques
Ok, if you are reading this far I expect you know how to move around properly and flip with success. First we will cover focus. The only part of the enemy that you need to focus on is their arms. Completely ignore the rest of the body; it is only a distraction. The arms are the only parts that can damage and defend, and that is where you should be focused all the time. If you can see their arms moving to attack you (going away from you and then starting towards you), then move your weapon towards theirs. This will stop their weapon from hurting you and if you practice enough you can counter attack from their mistake. If you can dodge their attack some other way (ducking or jumping etc.), then use it; your arms will be free and open for an attack to their legs or head.
I can't stress enough that low attacks don't have to be made from a ducking position! You get more power standing up and ducking should only be used to dodge or when you are about to jump. It is also good for defence if you duck and raise your sword with the defend button held down. This will make you very untouchable ;).
NOTE- A few people I know have trouble chopping of heads, but I have no idea why! Just for those that have trouble, here is a method to make it work:
Step 1 - Hold down the extend arm button
Step 2 Position yourself so your sword arm is facing the enemy, and your other arm is facing the opposite direction away (90 degrees opposite)
Step 3 Wait for enemy to approach
Step 4 When the enemy stops, it means it is targeting you. You can take advantage of this and strike when it stops
Step 5 Still holding the extend arm, hold down 9 on the keypad and move clockwise (so you are facing the enemy)
Step 6 Turn counter clockwise and when you are 90 degrees again let go of 9 and hold 7 on the keypad
Step 7 Repeat until head flies off
Step 8 Download the move tutorial I have made and see what I'm talking about
Sorry about the dodgy instructions, but the people that requested this are somewhat hopeless and don't practice nearly enough! Basically this move is just using the sword and body at once to add power to your attack. Remember, practice makes perfect
Constantly try to get behind the enemy and attack from there. This is the best place to be when fighting a computer opponent, but don't try it with an experienced player in a multiplayer game they could knock your head off with a back swing. When you do get behind the computer, aim for the place that the weapon isn't and try to hack the legs and head. If you get a good strong hit to the torso they may fall over, giving you a chance to kill them when they try to get up. In the getting up frames of Die by the sword, the player has no control at all, and their weapon can't block. Take advantage of their situation and make them get up quicker. Kick em' while they're down I say!
Hacking of arms and legs is very helpful indeed. If you manage to hack off both the computer enemies' arms, it will just stand there looking stupid waiting to die. Suicidal computing at its best! Legs are good to knock away as well because once one is gone, the other will quickly follow. If your attack manages to take off a limb, their health will drop dramatically, allowing you to end their existence quicker {:o). I can't tell you the number of times I have had my sheild arm or sword arm hacked off, but I can tell you that once it's gone I die pretty fast! This is because once it is gone, there is nothing left to defend that point of the body, and it is open territory for heavy attacks (the computer knows this).
For anything else, download the move tutorial! I can't write down the actions that must be taken from first hand experiance!
