Blinko Productions began when we first started throwing parties in college. All of the parties were associated with a theme and costumes. The primary goal was to have the entire party set before we started so that we could also have a good time and not worry about music and atmosphere. The first party was a 70s party with a costume contest, and the entire night's worth of music was recorded on a six-hour video tape and played. As we continued to throw the parties and incorporate more automation into them, computers and automated sound effects and lighting were also added to introduce an entirely new dimension into the parties to make it more of an experience for the participants.
