Due to the volume of responses I receive, I am unable to...um, not really. I'm sure I'll have more than enough time to mull over your question.
Today's Column: I'm physically disabled and how do I meet girls?
|
|
Dear Chloe,
I am a physically disabled 22 year old male from near Chicago. I don't have much chances to meet people, especially females, as it's not that easy for me to go out. I've never had a girlfriend and am getting tired of being single.
What I want to know is, what can I do to meet females? I've tried online dating services and tried getting my friends to set me up with people, but that doesn't seem to work out. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Sincerely,
Lonely in Chicago

Dear Lonely,
So how can you get a scrumptious hoochie-mama to find you with no work on your part whatsoever? Well, the trick is, dude, to not give up on the net just yet. Talk to people on an instant message server like ICQ or AOL Instant Messenger Eeeeeasy. (Both are free). There are plenty of girls around who want to chat with you, and before long you'll find someone with whom you share a good rapport. I've heard of people meeting through on-line gaming also. Just keep in mind, however, that there are a lot of %$#@&* weirdos out there. Start off casual. Be a friendly and well-behaved lad. And be careful.
Eventually, sweetie, you're going to have to put yourself out there. Is there a group or club in your area that you could join? Search the web for ideas. You could sign up for an art or writing class, or a course in something else that interests you. Visit museums or those big bookstores. It's possible you're trying too hard, a major turn-off even if you've got smouldering movie-star looks. Play it cool. The trick is not to concentrate so much on finding a girlfriend, but rather, on enjoying yourself. Keep in touch and let me know how it goes.
