~ The Night Abroad ~ Flying through the night I see you in the sky I can't give in without a fight But you say goodbye Trying to hold away the pain That cuts right through the day Teasing and twisted But I missed it Waiting for the clock to strike So I can bury the day Never again will I see the like And never again to say: "Come with me through the field of love, Please do not go again above" But, trailed by the moonlit pass The hour of our love is past Trying to hold away the pain That cuts right through the day Broken and misled As you are now dead... But, broken only by such slight sighs, you rise above this sea, for never were you to be in such a place. Shrinking against a wave of terror so often passed breaks my sight of hope and purity. Are we never again to feel such remorse in a hell of torrents that break a spirit and shatter all hope? My love, I lay by your side once more for the eternal wake that comes and goes but broken only by this stillness surrounding. Treasured serenity never ceases to believe in what we have become. But, beloved are my thoughts of you, as we race across a sand of worried fears left far behind us now. I see through this hazy haven of space and love, only to reach for what has been lost.
