Title: The Rain
Medium: Oil paint
Surface: Paper
Year: 1998
Location: My own collection
Okay, so maybe I'm getting a little bit soft. At least that's what all my friends here say. It started when I painted a pair of ballet shoes for my girlfriend as a Christmas present, then this. Yes, it is two people kissing. Not quite as tough as a pilot flying an airplane or a group of cowboys watching the sun go down, but I like it. I call it expanding my talents. Or maybe I'm just growning up a little bit (God Forbid). I figured the female gender might want to buy some of my paintings some day, too.

I did this painting one night after lights out. During the week, we all have to have our lights out at 1 o'clock. It makes studying kind of hard, but that's just the military way of doing things. So I had no light to paint this by, other than my computer monitor. So its not quite the finished product I intended, because I couldn't see what I was painting. Once again, luck played a key part in this painting.
