The life of a military pilot is not always the safest job in the world. I learned this all too well when I lost a very close friend when the he crashed off the Korean coast in a U-2. My dad was the squadron commander of the 99th RS at this time, so we were very involve with everything taht went on after the accident. I used to play with his kids and take care of his house when he went on vacation, and he was a good friend. I did this after he died as a sort of tribute.
