A bird was flying across the plains of Kansas when a blistering snowstorm crossed its path. The bird tried to fly through the storm but got so cold that it could not fly any longer and landed in a cow pasture.
The bird was so cold that it began to complain about finding shelter to warm it's body.
Just then, a cow came near the bird and dropped a pile of manure right on the bird!
The bird was furious! It started wiping itself off. It was soon to discover that although vile, the manure was beginning to warm its small body. Actually, it began to get so warm it began to sing......
A starving cat was walking in the area and heard the bird singing. The bird saw the cat and tried to hide itself back into the pile of manure, but to no avail. The cat dug through the pile and ate the bird!
Lessons to be learned:
- Not everyone who dumps on you is your enemy.
- Not everyone who digs you out is your friend.
- Not all of life's dumps are what they seem, they may be a blessing in disguise.
