Keeping your log open allows you to follow conversations</div> <div>          </div> <div> Whisper Vs Talk</div> <bR> <div> Here at heaven we do not like to be whispered to, for that is reserved for friends, and family. So please do not whisper to strangers</div> <div> Anything you may wish to discuss should be said as talk</div> <bR> <div> Backups</div> <div> Everyone seems to experience a loss of avatars at one time or another...  The best insurance to recover from this is to make a copy of your prop files...</div> <div> To make a copy of important prop files, This is what you do... 1. Open your palace folder and make a copy of these two files:  palace.prp   and palace.mac palace.prp stores props,  palace.mac stores avatar macros (saved avatars and shortcut keys like F1, F2,... 2. If you ever loose props or avatars due to a corrupt file, you can copy those two files back to your palace folder and in  most cases recover lost avatars and props! Note:  There are a few other files that are good to have a backup copy of... cyborg.ipt bookmark.dat palace.ini</div> <div>     </div> <div> Rules</div> <div> Each Palace has their own set of rules. You should find out the rules when going to any new palace.  Ignorance is not an excuse here.</div> <div> A lot of palaces have rules on sign on and you can read in your log. Or have rules rooms.  Always wear a modest av, if nudity is acceptable you can always change.  Please be sure to read our rules</div> <div>     </div> <div> Find Users    </div> <div> To open the User List Window, Press Ctrl+F, or select Find User under Options, Highlight the name of the person you wish to follow and then click on go to</div> <bR> <div> Saving a Log</div> <div> To open and save your log  1. go up to file and drop down window then goto open log file and click  2. window opens up you can save log under date or under name you choose</div> <div> 3. then click open. As a wiz or even a guest you should always save log</div> <bR> <div> Going to a Room</div> <div> To open the Room List window, Press Ctrl+G, or select Goto Room under Options, Then higlight the room you wish to go to, and click on go to. This will transport you there.</div> <bR> <div> Playing Sounds</div> <div> To bring up sounds hit ctrl + Y or click on sounds icon on the tool bar</div> <bR> <div> Downloading Sounds</div> <div> There are several methods of dl sounds.  Here at heaven we use 3.  Some rooms are on enter dl, and if you type replay will play for you.  The majority of the rooms have midis, and in the bottom left corner is a small scale icon.  If you click on that the file will dl.  When it says you have received file. Click on it again or type replay and it will play for you.  If you wish it to stop playing type ms.  The other if used in a jukebox script, where it will give you a message</div> <div> On the tool bar, which is where you type.  If you type list it will show the available sounds.  Type name you wish to dl after dl type again and it will play. We have naughty sounds dl rooms which are pw.  These are wav files and take a bit longer to dl then midis so be patient and enjoy the awesome sound</div> <div>         </div> <div> Doors</div> <div> Doors are a great tool in palace. They can be seen at all times while you go from palace to palace, you do this by going up to the top of your screen and click on options. Then a window comes down and you now click on your tool box. The next to the last box, in your toolbox is a pic. of a door...click on that. Now you should see outlines of doors throughout the room you are in.  Most if not all of these are passages to other rooms in the palace you are touring. Although some are doors for scripts etc.  So turn on those doors and see  the magnificent rooms we have to offer here at A Taste Of Heaven! And from everyone here at TOH have lots of fun! </div> <div>     </div> <div> Cyborgs    </div> <div> Cyborgs are probably the best part of palaceing other than the wonderful friends you meet. It is a script that generates certain powers through  commands. For example, once you have your cyborg in your palace folder, you can type bkiss and any name of a prop  you have like roses. So that when you type bkiss roses then a kiss will appear with roses to the person you have your mouse pointed to.  Another command used often with a borg is blondie. for ex. you can type blondie roses and a heart will appear around the person your mouse is pointed to. Some of the most widely used commands are: clean (cleans all props/paints from room) dump this drops the av wherever your mouse is pointed at. There are countless others too many to name all but you can always ask a wiz or fellow palacer and learn as you explore. Have fun! </div> <bR> <div> Wizard Mode</div> <div> The Wizard Mode is just that...a mode for wizards of the site, to give them certain powers, to help to run the site. Under NO circumstances should you try to use this mode if you are not a wizard at that particular site. That will cause the server to identify that you are not a wizard at that site and it will automatically  kill/ban you!</div> <div>         </div> <div> Palace Lingo</div> <div> Palace lingo is allot like any other type of chat lingo but for those who aren't familiar with any chat lingo here are some of the more common abbreviations,  BRB means that person will be right back. LOL means laughing out loud. LMAO means laughing my ass off. GMTA means great minds think alike. AFK means away from keyboard. GGP means got to go pee PPL. means people.  YW means your welcome. TY means thank you. LTNS means long time no see. DL means downloading room. Just to name a few. Most ppl. use lower case letters because caps. means you are shouting it! </div> <bR> <div> Saving Avatars</div> <div> How you save an avatar,avatar being the image you wear in palace, is you select one you like then go down to the bottom right corner and click on the little black bag next to the trash can.  A window will open to your right. You can do one of two things, 1- click on the word SAVE in the window and to your left a window opens that has the word image,  click save this and the image of that av will appear in what's called macros. The 2nd. Way to save an av. Is to right click on the image itself, and drag it a piece at a time to your black bag, your bag will highlight and appear in the small boxes in the window on your right.  Do this until you have all (most are 9) pieces in your bag.  Happy shopping we have the best avs in town hehe! </div> <bR> <div> Passwords</div> <div> Reasons for palaces having passwords are for privacy. Some palaces have adult sections and or adult props. Some have  password bedroom sections as well.These rooms you will need to ask a wizard or a God/Goddess for the password to that area.  Once you get the pw, you will in most palaces including A Taste Of Heaven, type the pw at the gate. This will automatically take you to that password room/area. You MUST be 18 or older to goto these rooms. </div> <bR> <div> BRB Sign</div> <div> To do a BRB sign so that others can see that you have to leave your computer temp., you can do 1 of 2 things. 1 you hold down your shift key  And your 6 key at the same time this will put up a symbol that looks like this ^ then type BRB and hit  enter key.  The 2nd way is to go up to options top or your screen and click on toolbox...then where you see the brb sign, (6th one down) click on it and tada:) </div> <bR> <div> Gods/Owners</div> <div> The Gods Goddess and owners are the ones who oversee the individual sites.  They can be recognized and wear 2 *s on name tag.  If you need assistance just ask</div> <bR> <div> Wizards</div> <div> The Wizzard's/Operators are respected ppl. That the God's/owners have chose to help run their site. It is expected of you to ALWAYS respect the wizzes! They can help you with just about anything from enjoyable and interesting chat to  cyborgs and commands for cyborgs and many other questions that may arise for someone new to palaceing. </div> <bR> <div> Commands for Users</div> <div> There are a few commands available to the members you can get them by typing  ` help and will appear in your log window</div> <div> Here they are sitepage - Display the URL of this server's site page. Page <msg> - summon help from an operator, hide on|off - hide from all other users</div> <div> AND `hidefrom <name> - hide from another user, `respond <msg> - reply to the last sender of an ESP message , `mute <name>- mute another user</div> <div> also `rejectesp on|off - reject ESP messages, `rejectprivate on|off    - reject private messages</div> <bR> <div> Accepted Conduct</div> <div> Even though this is cyberspace there are ppl on the other end of the computers with real feelings.  We ask you to be considerate and polite.  DO NOT ASK STRANGERS TO CYBER. Do not whisper to ppl that you do not know.  This is reserved for close friends.  Do not sit on other ppl, we all like our space and this something that is for special ppl. Do not be rude crude or nasty this is one sure way to get your butt in chains or killed.  So be nice and enjoy cause there are some real nice ppl here.
