Magical Tools
The Athame:
A cleansed and consecrated ceremonial knife used in ritual work .
The knife is never used in bloodletting, and rarely used for cutting anything on the material plane.
Some examples:
Book Of Shadows
Your personal notes , spells , rituals, dates, and holidays.
Here are some examples of what they might look like. But remember, it is your own, and should look the way you want it.
Cauldron
The Cauldron represents Akasha, it symbolizes the point of metamorphis or transformation that occurs during the magical process
In ritual, it is placed in the center of the Circle.
these are just a few of some fun looking ones. You use the one that is comfortable for you.
Not necessarily ones that look like these.
The Cup or Chalice
It's purpose is to gather, hold and disperse energy.
here are some examples:
The Pentacle
There are two types of Pentacles: The working pentacle and the ritual pentacle
the working Pentacle is a circular piece of wood or paper that is white on one side and black on the other. We use it to give magical energies the form and shape necessary to manifest in the physical world and become reality.
Placed on the altar during Circle, the ritual pentacle is a circular tool with a pentagram at its center, usally fashioned in a earth based product.
It hold many different things for blessing during ritual, as well as any magical petitions or requests to manifest during Circle.
here are some examples:
The White Handled Knife
Magical theory plays no part in the role of the white handled knife, it is still a very important tool to the Witch.
It is used for inscribing candles, and carving runes to harvesting herbs and plant material.
here is one example:
The Wand
It's an attractant, a repellent, a director of energies. It divides the worlds during Circle Casting, then connects them
again when the magic is done. It is the one tool that most serious practitioners just can't and won't
Do Without!
The Wand is traditionally created from the wood of a living fruit or willow tree, making these tools can take some time.
It isn't as simple as cutting a couple of branches.
You must ensure the tree no harm will come to it.
For more information look in your books for more details on how to harvest your wand.
