As an old man lay dying
As a young woman stood crying

As a lonely woman begged for shelter
As a man spent his last dime on liquor

As the strife in the world led to mass murder
As the beggar man asked for a quarter
THE ROSE WEPT

As a father buried his dauther
As mother nature was slaughtered
THE ROSE WEPT

As a child cried in hunger
As the world around him thundered

As time moved on
As the world waited for a new dawn
