Well, um, where to start?! Well, in the survey that Kylie and Brett wrote for this page, they asked whether Scott and I had fights started because of a difference in that Scott loves sport, and I love music... I don't think people realise that I'm rather interested in Sports too... It's just that I'm not renouned for it... - anymore.
Since I was 7, I have played
basketball for the University Basketball Club. I started in U/10's and
am now in U/19's. I was introduced to the sport by my friends Nicola and
Kirsty (yes, her name is Nicola!), and I haven't looked back since!
I was a Newcastle Representitive
in '93, '94, and '98... Only quitting rep in '95-'97 because I didn't have
enough time on my hands... I played in the N.S.W Junior State League in
1994, played in my Primary School Girls basketball Team and the mixed team,
in '94-'95.. being the only girl (ooooh it was good *perve city!*). In
the Primary School Girls Basketball team I scored a massive 49 points in
one game (the total score was like, 53 or something) *yehar*! I
doubt I'll ever do THAT again! D'oh! I was a Hunter Region P.S.S.A.
Rep in the girls team in 1995... And I've played in my high school's Open,
Junior and Senior Teams since '97!..
So as you can see, I use to
be very involved in basketball... But I don't really care anymore... I've
kinda slackened off, and now I actually have time to myself - time to spend
with Scott!! It's a bit hard when you've got to go to Sydney every single
weekend to play a single game! - Then again, it'd be good now that I'm
with Scott! *laughs*
If you want to see a photo
of me shooting a basket, click
here.... It was bad timing by the photographer! *laughs*!
I also Row... Ya know, like,
the Awesome foursome? Here's a photo:
That's me after just winning a double event at
some regatta, I can't remember... Don't you just love my uniform? Icky!
Oh wellz, it's good fun! My dad has a complete OBSESSION with the sport,
but that's a whole new story! I've been rowing since um, 1995.. Being the
youngest member of the club at the age of 12... That photo was me when
I was 12... Or maybe 13? I can't remember! *laughs* I won the award for
Best Junior point score winner when I was 13.. And then I got pushed into
the sport. People were telling me that I had the chance to be, not good,
but the best. But I only wanted to row for fun... But still, they pushed
me into training, I got a personal coach, and my dad was just obsessed
with rowing and wouldn't let me sleep in one weekend! If I did, he would
tell me that I'd have to go and row for a few hours some other time! So...
I quit! But I go back sometimes, just to have a paddle... But I don't want
to compete. The Olympics were a nice thought at one time, but I don't think
I was cut out for it.
Ya know what? I have a love for soccer... And I don't know why... I wish I could play it... But I'd probably just trip over the ball!! Ah wellz, I'm gonna get Scott to teach me... Not that it's gonna help, but hayyyyyy! Annnnnnnd I'm gonna get him to teach me how to play cricket - PROPERLY! We have a little bet... But we won't get into that! *laughs*
Hmm... Other sports that I've
done, have been Netball, horseriding and dancing - if you call that a sport!!
Netball is a sport I will never play again! It
stuffed up my ankles and my knees for the rest of my life! I played netball
in 1995 for my School Girls Netball team... I was put in GK for the
fact that I was the tallest person in the school and I knew the rules.
So, I played... And then complained about the fact that I never did anything
because the ball was never at their end of the court. So, they switched
me to reserve GS/GA...Which probably was the thing that fucked up my ankles
and my knees... I was actually PLAYING netball then! Never again!!
Horseriding... Well, I began
learning to horse ride PROPERLY a few years ago... I went, and they said
to my dad, "Has she done this before?" ROFL! I gave that up because I didn't
have the time.. *cries* Kinda sad...
Anywayz, that's it frum me.... BYE!
