All About Me
It's finally here...a page about me, the creator of this site! My real name is Jean but many on the internet know me as Happie. Why am I happie you may ask, well it's quite simple....to sum it up in one simple sentence : No one else fits the 'happie' name like I can! For those that know me, I know you're sitting there nodding your head yes and smiling a little too =) And for those that don't know me, if you're interested in finding out a bit more about me but for some unknown reason are afraid to ask me directly via email, I strongly encourage you to read on!! Aw...heck, it's a good read...so go for it...you only live once...uhh...that we know of!
This was the first picture I ever gave out to people on the internet! And I've had sooooo many of you say to me, "For someone with a nickname 'happie' , you sure don't look very happie in this picture!" And I would say to them all, "hahahahahaa...I know" The reason being is that I like to look comtemplative, like I'm in deep thought. It fits because I am always thinking!! I was able to take this picture with my cousin's gracious donation of his black and white quickcam which he no longer wants nor did he ever use it..."impulse buy" he tells me. Well cuz, keep up the good work and shop as impulsively as your heart desires....I don't mind second hand stuff especially if it's for the computer =)
Look, look I'm actually smiling in this picture!! I like this picture even though it makes me look short =( Surprisingly, I am not all that short. If you couldn't tell by now, I'm Chinese (Cantonese actually) and according to the stereotypes, I should be ...I dunno...about 5 feet tall....and being that I'm a girl, I should only average around 5'2" - 5'3" but amazingly, I am roughly 5'7" in height!! And I attribute this to good genes and plenty of delicious milk....oh yeah, don't forget the oreo cookies too...mmm =)
Wow, do I look happie in this picture or what! Man, this quickcam is so much fun!! And very practical too if you think about it. There is never a need for film, you pose for your pics and see it instantaneously on the monitor, discard what you don't like, keep what you do, and adjust the pic however you like! If you have a super duper program like the ones my friend Kevin uses, you can make real cool looking stuff from a regular pic. On the following picture, Kevin took one of my normal b/w pics and turned it into a kaleidoscope looking picture and I absolutely love it!! Kaleidoscopes are soooooo much fun, I can spend hours looking through one. All the wonderful designs and colors totally fascinate me to no end =)
Wow...Isn't it amazing?
Here is a color picture of me finally! For some reason, scanned images never quite look like the actual photograph. You can sit there adjusting and readjusting all day long and still it is lacking some color, intensity, and clarity. This picture was actually taken months ago and my hair was a lot shorter than it is now! Here is a bit of fact for everyone...did you know that the average growth of the hair on your head is about 1/2 an inch per month? The healthier your hair, the faster it grows and the shinier it looks! One of my best features is definitely my hair...it actually grows about an inch a month so according to the average...my hair is actually above average!! It's quite thick and lustrous too =)
Oh look, another picture of me...go figure! I don't know about you but I'm kind of sick of seeing my own face plattered all over this page! hahaha..well, these will be the last ones...for now ;) I hope you all liked my pics and have enjoyed reading a bit about me.
