Midi Gallery

Since I don't have a lot of Midis to begin with I am lumping them all together. We will see what happens as I collect more.

Ok, disregard that first sentence. I may rotate some midis, but I am not going to build a huge archive. No room at the Inn.
Check out a few here, and if you like them, go down to the links.

Personally, these things annoy me if I hear them for more than 30 seconds or so. But, I know a lot of people do like them, so here they are. Enjoy!

Movie Tunes

James Bond Theme-I am sure there are many versions of this one out there, but this is the one I found.

James Bond Medley- Title says it all. You will either really like this one, or really hate it!

Chariots of Fire- Some of you may have never heard of the movie, but all should know the song.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly-The classic tune from one of Clint Eastwood's best spaghetti westerns.

Indiana Jones- One of my all time favorite movies and one of my favorite themes. When it comes to movie music, no one beats John Williams. Although I think there may be better versions of this midi out there.

Jaws- Another Williams classic clip. I still look around and get nervous when I hear this play.

Jurassic Park- Not sure if a midi does John Williams justice, but its all I got!

The Timewarp- Straight from the Rocky Horror Picture Show to your hard drive.

starters- Yet another Williams classic. Again, not as moving as the original, but take what you can get.

The Playlist

Tub Thumping- Really liked the song, even after every station here played it 24 hours a day. What will Chumba Wumba do next?

Hard Days Night- Anything by the Beatles is great. Look for a Beatles section soon.

Bittersweet Symphony- The cool song by The Verve that my friend claims 'always sounds like it is ending'.

In Your Eyes- This was one of my favorite Peter Gabriel songs as soon as soon as it came out on his CD US.

And we Danced- Great song from a great 80's band. One of my favorite Hooters songs.

Brothers in Arms- Classic song from Dire Straights. One of my roommates stole this CD from me in college, you know who you are, and I have yet to replace it. Used in a great Miami Vice episode that I believe was titled "The Dollhouse".

Cantaloop- Tune by Us 3 that you should be listening to now. This song gets a high volume setting in the car.

Dancing Queen- Great ABBA song that resurfaces from time to time depending on how well the movie does. I always turn up the volume when it comes on the radio.

Dreamweaver- The alphabet finalized it, but I am sure fate had a strong influence with this song by some guy I can not think of right now. I think it's Gary something. Like "Dancing Queen", "Dreamweaver" caught the tails of Wayne's World and popped back on the radio. This occurrence was usually followed by a quick station scan.

Riders on the Storm- As with the Beatles, anything by the Doors is a classic. If you have never seen the movie, I highly recommend it. Trust me.

Gangsta's Paradise- My foray into the world of rap. I think Coolio and Young MC are the only rappers of which I know.

Hazy Shade of Winter- I am pretty sure that Simon and Garfunkel did this one first but The Bangles version from Less Than Zero is what most people remember. I like both versions.

True Faith- Suprisingly, as much as I like New Order, I do not have any of their CDs. Anybody want to donate them I will include you in my will.

Hotel California- Classic Eagles tune that some say speak of the devil. I just think it is a great song. People who decipher and read crap into songs have too much time on their hands. And no, they are not all members of Styx.

Jammin- Bob Marley doing what he does best. I have actually toured his house in Kingston. Great experience.

With a Little Luck- I think I have the name correct. I do know that it is by Wings and it was also used in a movie. Anyone know which one? Hint, I believe Farrah Fawcett and Charles Grodin were the stars. Maybe not Grodin, but Farrah was in it.

No Rain- Great song from Blind Mellon. It's a shame that their vocalist killed himself with heroin. I think they would have been a one hit wonder anyway.

No Woman- More Marley. And, as I look at what I still have to add here, there are more on the way.

One Love- Told you. I was indoctrinated into Marley by friends who I subsequently followed to Jamaica for a week.

Stairway to Heaven- Like "Dreamweaver" this song also made an appearance in Wayne's World, but it was quickly silenced and missed it's chance to storm back into mainstream music with "Dreamweaver" and "Bohemian Rhapsody".

Sultans of Swing- This is high on my list of all-time great songs. Too bad I can't fit a CD quality recording up here.

Walking on the Sun- Song by Trash Mouth that I really like, but one of the local radio stations is still playing this song five times a day. In an eight hour period. Come on! Give it a rest. This song has been out for MONTHS.

Where It's At- I had never listened to Beck until a compadre played him all night. Ended up going to what turned out to be a kick ass concert in Athens. Amazing performance, he is the whiter version of Prince. Uh, I mean the artist formerly known as.

Assorted Bin

The Banana Boat Song- No one knows the words, but everyone loves to sing it. It's like that New Years song we all mumble through.

The Chicken Song- I have no idea if that is the correct name, but that is what I have always heard it called. If anyone knows the name, let me know.

LooneyTunes- The theme music from the looney tunes cartoons. Bugs Bunny was always my favorite. Screw the Mouse.
