The year is 2015. Those left of the human race are hiding to survive years after a giant meteor
struck earth that wiped out half the human race. Then there are those fighting to protect the human race,
the special agency NERV, and the last hope for all of mankind the "Evangelions". The only ones qualified to pilot the
Evangelions are the children all of whom were born exactly nine months after the giant meteor struck. The human race now faces total destruction
by the "Shito" (or Angels). It is NERVS duty to destroy the Angels, the only way is with the Evangelions and the children pilots.
U.S. gets the Evangelion movies!
Though ADV is not doing the movies Manga Entertainment has aquired the publishing rights and they are releasing the movies.
The movies are to be released on Video/DVD as well as in theatres.
They have also aquired the English voice actors that ADV used for the series so dubbed fans you will still have your favs! Release is scheduled for October 31, 2001.
