Misato is NERV's Operations Director. She is also Shinji's guardian. Misato is a very outgoing woman, she also loves to indulge certain things to an excess (mainly beer). Misato lost her father when she was just a 14 year old girl during the second impact. Her father gave his life to save hers, this makes her devoted to destroying the Angels at all costs. She joined NERV to help fight against the Angels and ease the pain of her father's untimly death.
