First the report... then the pictures... hang in there!
You are going to see some great stuff this time... you will see actual real-time photos of The Hug Festival and among other things, a close-up of The World Famous Hug (still missing the floor part but including the legs part) and there will be film clips with sound (no popcorn) of The Famous Bonkers playing the keyboard. Are you excited yet?.
Thanks to all our good pals who dared the definitely soggy weather to attend our luncheon at Trina's in Norco on Saturday, February 24, 2001.
How great to have some of the Palm Springs bunch with us again, in spite of the storm! And then Vista and Shadow made the trek all the long way from down south and, of course, our faithful Rod all the way from North Hollywood. Bill and Ros (TonerKing and RosalynG) called in gallivanting... they are running around enjoying some getaway time... but they will see us next time. Bill said Ros is still doing well but is awfully tired, one of the side-effects of cancer and its treatments. Keep the support and prayers coming!
CWP 157 (Charlie) brought his quilt-in-progress for us to see and you will see photos of it a little later here. Charlie said a niece in West Virginia asked him for something to remember them by, so this is a labor of love.
Really glad to meet Inksoup (Max) and welcome him to our bunch.
Big BIG treat this time and you will see photos and even the movie clips I mentioned. Bonkers987 (Bob) brought his keyboard in response to my non-stop nagging and entertained us for almost the entire luncheon with some of the most beautiful music you could hope to hear.
Our regular meeting day has been the 4th Saturday of each month, but I'm needing to change it to the first or second Saturday because of a big conflict in my "stuff." Please let me know if you have a preference and I'll try to be democratic about the whole thing. Lotsa can't attend on the second Saturday. So one way or another, you can expect another email from me about a luncheon either in two weeks or in five weeks. I guess if it's five weeks, I'll let you know way in advance about the big delay.
And if there is too much problem with a change, we'll leave it on the 4th Saturday and I'll figure a way to work around it re. my schedule and also re. November and December when the holidays interfere. Our Palm Springs buddies have their luncheon (singles only) on the third Saturday, so that's not an option.
Or I imagine we could also have it on the first or second Sunday if that works out for others... let me know your preference.
Please go back to the main SGGAF page for address, directions, and other general information about our luncheons.
We always miss (and gossip about) those who can't attend... and we always have a good time with those who CAN.

It is always so sweet to see old friends, meet new friends, and to put faces
together with screen names for online pals we've talked to but have not met
before.
These pictures are courtesy of LadyZinnia and Lotsa000 and I'm sure VistaGal will put up some on her site, also. You'll find a link to her site at the end of these pages.
All of the pictures have the captions ATTACHED to them, so they will stay with the photos if you want to right-click and download any of them to your computer.
I always put these photos up two or three to a page, so that I can leave them larger and still have them load quickly into your browser. Just keep using the "NEXT" button on each page to see more pictures.
