(Continued)

Yup.. here they are.. the Fabulous Penningtons!  Charlie told me 12:00 is lunch time, not 11:00.  So we decided to go into the hamburger place and have lunch.  And we lucked out and got a table and had a nice lunch and a nice visit...  and then after a while... the door opened and in walked this crazy woman with a HAT on... and you guessed it... it was Kirke830!  And along with her was her wonderful daughter, Kristi!  Kirke told me she has hundreds of hats.

Those are two beautiful women, for sure.  Kristi is a great gal and I really enjoyed being able to get to know her.  She was formerly a teacher in Mexico and she and her husband and children currently live on a sailboat, where she homeschools the kids.  I am green with envy.  What a terrific life and what a wonderful gift to give to their children!  Kirke is truly blessed with this wonderful daughter!

So now we come to Joan and I owe her an apology because I didn't take her picture to share with you.  The hamburger joint was jammed, as usual, but Charlie and Betty and I lucked out and were able to grab a table when we arrived.  I held the fort while they got the food.  So then we had plenty of room when Kirke and Kristi arrived and we got to eat indoors, out of the cold, and had a nice visit.  When Charlie and Betty were getting ready to go, a nice lady came up and asked if we would mind company (by that time, there was hardly any room left in there to stand... much less any free tables).  That was Joan and we got to know her and had a nice visit with her, also, and she is now on our list to be invited to all our luncheons.  Joan taught Business at the college where I currently attend and she is now retired and has been a nomad... traveling all over the place for the past three years.  I know you will all enjoy getting to know her and having a new member of our big "family."
