First the report... then the pictures... hang in there!

In spite of the last-minute change of location AND my bad directions..., 18 people made it to the luncheon on Saturday, May 27, 2000.  Because Live Oak had to be closed on Saturday, our luncheon was held at The Grinder Restaurant in Corona.  Good food and a good time!  We hope to be back at Live Oak next time, but we'll be letting everyone know about that.

What a surprise to see CavemanQ (Gene)... all the way from Las Vegas!  

And we are all glad to welcome DPearson (Donna), who came all the way from Victorville and is new to our group.  Welcome, Donna!

How great to see RodWoods out and about again and traveling all that long way from North Hollywood to be with us... especially since he's the one who sent me all these photos.  Old dummy me forgot my camera in the confusion!  

So many of our friends travel really long distances... and an apology is in order for Suvva...she traveled all this way and then couldn't find us because of all the confusion.  The change was last-minute (Friday night) and all I could do was send out emails as soon as I heard.  Someone went and posted a note on the door of Live Oak hoping to catch any stragglers and get them over to The Grinder Restaurant in Corona... but we STILL didn't get Suvva in the uproar.  HUGE apologies, Shirley!!!  And I'm looking at a better way to handle this kind of thing in the future.

We always miss (and gossip about) those who can't attend... and we always have a good time with those who CAN.

Our regular meeting day is the 4th Saturday of each month, which seems to be the most convenient for the most people.  The time has been changed to NOON because Live Oak Inn doesn't open until 11:30 and early people get them all bumfuzzled... LOLOL!!!  Same place every month except as otherwise notified. E-mail me if you will be attending and/or if you need more info. I'll be reminding the people on my mailing list about a week before each luncheon.
