First the report... then the pictures... hang in there!
A bazillion thanks (again) to Bonkers987 (Bob), who originally suggested having our luncheon at Tom's Farm.
We will try to have it at Tom's Farm again next month (July 7) if the weather cooperates and isn't too hot.
Small but super group this time... I think having it so close to the first (even though it WAS the first Saturday) may have conflicted with too many plans. It was really nice to have Mona bring two of her friends Fran and Ken to join us. Fran is a really sweet woman, fits right in and has the most beautiful smile, which you'll see in the photos. Ken is also a very personable and interesting person Mona said they worked together for many years. He is now a photographer and just got back from a visit to Romania. He will be leaving for a photo shoot in Peru in the near future. Hope they are able to join us again so other friends can get to know them.
Everyone enjoyed a great visit along with the picnic area with all its beautiful shade trees, the music from the band, the food, the shopping, and just a good time in general. The weather was really cooperative... not to cool and not too hot! We sure hope YOU get a chance to join us next time!
This bunch of pages also includes several pictures from Charlie's (CWP157) trip east, including a pizza party at LaDonne812's home and a visit with NanaClown (Lila) and LaDonne812. Thanks for sharing, Charlie! NanaClown will be visiting in California before too long and if it doesn't coincide with a luncheon, we will try to set up a separate get-together in her honor... so stay tuned!
We are waiting to hear a report from Smoke Murphy who rode with over 200,000 other bikers to Washington D.C. on the Run For The Wall. We hope to see him back safe and sound and at our luncheon next time and hear about the trip. This run included riders from all over the country, riding to meet in Washington D.C. to honor our POW's , KIA's, and MIA's. If you'd like more information, go to Run For The Wall. Their mission: To promote healing among Vietnam veterans and their families and friends, to call for an accounting of all Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action (POW/MIA), and to honor the memory of those Killed in Action (KIA).
We are all saddened by the loss of our good friend, Dick Stayton.
We have found out from Podunker3 (Gladys) that Jim Joy (Jajoy) is still in the hospital but is doing somewhat better at this time. Both of them can use our ongoing prayers and support.
Please go back to the main SGGAF page for address, directions, and other general information about our luncheons.
We always miss (and gossip about) those who can't attend... and we always have a good time with those who CAN.

It is always so sweet to see old friends, meet new friends, and to put faces
together with screen names for online pals we've talked to but have not met
before.
These pictures are courtesy of LadyZinnia. VistaGal always has nice photos on her site, also, but couldn't attend this time. You'll find a link to her site at the end of these pages.
All of these pictures have the captions ATTACHED to them, so they will stay with the photos if you want to right-click and download any of them to your computer.
I always put these photos up two or three to a page, so that I can leave them larger and still have them load quickly into your browser. Just keep using the "NEXT" button on each page to see more pictures.
