Luncheon, September 23, 2000

First the report... then the pictures... hang in there!

Fifteen of our friends attended the luncheon on September 23, 2000, at Trina's in Norco.  Lots of praises for the food, the service, the cleanliness, and the private room.   These are the people who used to operate Live Oak Inn and we really appreciate all their hard work getting ready for us when they aren't yet even "officially" open.

It was a special treat to have ShourCap (Joanne – aka Sammani) with us.  She traveled all the way from Fortuna in Northern California.

Nice to see Work62 (Bob – aka Passed50) with us again.  Apologies to Bob for inadvertantly dropping his name from the list.

We welcome those who attended for the first time and hope they'll become regulars  – MBS333 (Mona), Bonkers987 (Bob), AWalls1050 (Annie), and YelCanary (Janet).  I have been talking to Annie for YEARS in the SrNet chat room and it was really great to finally get to meet her.  I hope to copy her hairdo in another month or so!

We always miss (and gossip about) those who can't attend... and we always have a good time with those who CAN.

Our regular meeting day is the 4th Saturday of each month, which seems to be the most convenient for the most people.  Please go back to the main SGGAF page for address, directions, and other information.

Who attended?
*means the person is not online and this is not a screen name

It is always so sweet to see old friends, meet new friends, and to put faces together with screen names for online pals we've talked to but have not met before.

I did these a little different this time – these pictures were taken by RodWoods, Lotsa000, and me (LadyZinnia), but I mixed them all up instead of keeping them in groups according to who took them.  More work and I may not do it that way again, but it does seem to make a but more sense this way.

All of these pictures have the captions ATTACHED to them, so they will stay with the photos if you want to right-click and download any of them to your computer.

Gee... does this look a bit familiar???  Slim is re-doing the inside of the new location so that it looks much the same as the old Live Oak Inn.  It has a Hispanic motif and a lot of the same decor.  And, of course, we still have the same great cooks, servers, hostess, etc.

I always put these photos up two or three to a page, so that I can leave them larger and still have them load quickly into your browser.  Just keep using the "NEXT" button on each page to see more pictures.
