Riddles

Here are some riddles that I found kinda fun, some of them are stupid and easy, while others are more difficult, but still fun. There will be more soon, it's just getting started, but i'm sure these should keep you busy for a little while.

R:The man who invented it doesn't want it
   The man who bought it doesn't need it
   And the man who has it doesn't know he needs it,
                What is is it?

A: Coffin.

R: Give it food and it lives,
          give it water and it dies.

A: Fire.

 

 

R: You are in the basement of a house and there are 3 light switches that turn on three different lights upstairs and you need to find out which switch, goes with which light. The catch is you can only make one trip up the stairs and you can't see anything from the basement. How do you do it?

A: Turn one switch on for about 5 minutes and then turn it off, then turn another switch on and go upstairs. The light that is on obviously belongs with the switch that is on, by feeling the other 2 light bulbs one of them will be warm which will be the other switch that was on for 5 minutes and ofcourse the last light goes with the last switch.



R:    There is a man who lives on the 45th floor of an 
          Apartment building. Everyday he gets in the elevator
          And takes it to street level and goes to work. When
          he comes home he gets in the elevator at street level
          and takes it to the 40th floor and walks up the stairs
          of the last 5 floors. But when it rains he takes the 
          elevator all the way to the 45th floor.
                        Why?

A:The man is a midget and can't reach the 45th button, 
        except when it rains and he carries an umbrella to 
        push it.

R:   My tongue is long, my breath is strong, and yet i breed no   strife. My voice you hear both far and near, and yet i have no life ..what am i?

A:  A bell.

R:  You have two sons and two father, they are going fishing everybody
       catchs a fish. There are three fish in the jug how is that if every one
       caught a fish.

A:  There is a kid, his dad and his dad's dad.
