Meanings
leafing through uncounted texts
  and passing into expertise
   in the study of wars,
  but flailing still for an understanding
    of the battle set loose
     in my own restless spirit,
  where meanings slip giddily
   through a wall of thoughts,
    refusing to take root . . .
  new perils share their knowledge,         freely inviting us softly to drift
     into the same stream . . .
