it is
Two of a Kind, a new sitcom on ABC, looks to be a success. The stars of the show include Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Christopher Sieber, and Sally Wheeler. The show's pilot took place on September 25th, and caught the eye of 11.8 million viewers across America, definately winning over its time slot! On the show, the girls use their their real first names as the characters' names (their last name on the set is Burke). The plost basically consists of a single dad raising his daughters (hmm, sound familiar? Think Full House, only this time with less kids!). The father, played by Christopher Sieber, is a professor kept busy with his work, so he hires a nanny to help raise the girls. His outcome? A young kooky Carrie Moore (played by Sally Wheeler), a college student at the university where he teaches. The girls aren't too psyched about the whole nanny idea... ("Aww come on dad we're 11, we can take care of ourselves!"), but after they start to get to know Carrie, they get to scheming. i.e. setting her up with their dad! |

the Twins
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen began their acting careers at the unbeleiveable age of 9 months, In 1987, they landed their first job, playing Michelle on the anxciously awaited ABC sitcom Fullhouse. They grew up on television, literally, and the show ended when they were 8. Whle the twins alternated the rold of Michelle (child labor laws require that twins play the role of very young children), they began to appear together in ABC movies such as To Grandmother's House We Go, Double Double Toil and Trouble, and How the West Was Fun. In 1995, they made their feature film debut in the movie It Takes Two, with Kirstie Alley.Meanwhile, at the age of 6, they began their own production company (!!) entitled Dual Star Productions. Since then, Dual Star has released a countless number of videos, books, and CD's starring the girls, who in the storied play junior detetives. For the videos, the girls sing, dance, solve mysteries, interact with characters they meet along the way, and basically, they just "be cute". The new show on ABC is long awaited by many of the twins' fans who have been watching the then grow up ever since they were first picked up out of the crib on the set of Full House. |

to tell them apart
The twins, beleive it or not, are fraternal, not identical as most people think. We hope that after reading this, you won't be cofused anymore! If you look in the two above pictures, you wll be able to see some of the differences mentioned! Here's how they're different.... Mary-Kate is outgoing and friendly, while Ashley remains on the quiet side. Ashley loves dancing, but Mary-Kate prefers horseback riding anyday. Ashley usually wears nice dresses to go out, and Mary-Kate is a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. Mary Kate Plays sports. Ashley watches Mary-Kate play sports. Mary-Kate is left-handed, but Ashley is right-handed. Mary-Kate loves to crack jokes and play pranks on the set, while Ashley tries to be more serious. Ashley is the oldest..... by two minutes that is! Mary-Kate loves to play outside, but Ashley would rather hang out at the mall with her friends. Ashley is two inches taller than Mary-Kate and her hair is lighter. She also has a freckle on her upper lip. |
