So, if you don't want to go on, I won't blame you , just go back, and go to my Antidisestablishmentarianism Page! Oh, look at all of the pretty colors!

Ensign Bob #1 Ensign Bob's first Day on the Enterprise

The streamlined vessel hurled onward through the vast emptiness of space. It was a vessel of grace. Beauty, and power. It was the pride of Starfleet, the great ship known as Enterprise The hull was grey and cool, dotted with the bright glow of it's many windows. At one of these bright points of light sat a lone ensign, staring at the stars streaming by.

His name was Bob, Ensign Bob, and he was bored out of his mind. He sat in a room full of other young ensigns listening to another one of picard's endless spiels of the responsiblilties of new officers. Bob watched as one by one the other ensigns nodded off. The only exception was the preppie Wesley Crucher, sittine in the front row and taking notes furiously.

Just when Bob thought he could take it no longer, the red alert klaxons started blaring and Commander Riker's voice over the ship wide intercom ordered all hands to battle stations. A startled Picard quickly adjusted his toupee, and barked to the ensigns that they were dismissed to their assignments.

Ensign bob quickly made his way to the main bridge where he would serve as the navigation officer. He stepped out of the turbolift and made his way to his station as Riker was explaining to Picard what had happened.

"I'm sorry sir, Counselor Troi thought she saw an..." He motioned for Picard to lean closer. "...arachnid," he finished in a lower tone.

Bob saw the captain's face grow pale and grave. "I trust the situation was taken care of, Number One?" He asked in a quivering voice.

"Mr. Worf saw that it was captain," answered Riker, indicating a dark scorched spot on the floor of the bridge. Bob glanced upat the huge klingon who seemed to take up the whole back rear half of the bridge. He stood holding a phaser, a cool look of pride in his eyes.

"Well done, Mr. Worf," said picard as Riker helped Deanna Troi step down from the command chair where she had been standing, trembling and refusing to come down until she was sure it was dead. Once again Captain Picard Spoke, "Ensign, lay in a course: bearing 26574.89, warp 5. Engage."

With a start Ensign Bob realized taht the captain was talking to him. Bob stared blankly at him for a moment, then at his console, wondering what to do. Finally he randomly hid some buttons, crossed his fingers, and hit the switch marked "engage."

If you liked that, I'd be more than to send you the other, rather lengthy Ensign Bob Stories in Existence, if not, then you will be shot.
