Jon, Ken and Joe Bass, lining up for a pose
(I)Approximately one week after my Bradens Acoustic Set at the Sit and Spin, i began the day easy enough woke up, went out and got to the cellophane square at about 3:00pm. Well i walked around and bought a posies cd called the frosting on the beater, since i was a new fan, i really had no clue which one to buy. Anyways i asked one of the workers, if i could just hang out near the front so i could get the best seats, he said not to worry get here by 4:30 and you should be fine, i said okay and took off. Went to MickeyD's for some food, then to gameworld i was bored so i said what the hey i would go back and stand in place for about a hour or so. I just hung out and met some interesting people before even the band started. This one person with Goldmine magzines and Allstar.com was interviewing me like so your the first one here? i said yes i am. She then went on to ask me how long i have been a fan i was like i am totally new, anayways i plugged my webpage, cos i said there was gonna be a review with pictures and stuff from the concert on my page and here it is! I also met a really really cool posies fan her name was Mesheyle, we talked for the longest time before the show even started, she was defintly cool, i will talk about her later on though. I also met a girl that goes to the UW, her name was carol, heh it was kinda wierd...cause she new me but have never even talked to me before...we just knew the same people very wierd.
The front cover of frosting on the beater that the guys signed for me
Joe Bass He rocks!
(II)Near the beginning of the show, they moved the barrier and let us sit, i was in the first row so close to the action, it was all good, i was getting excited, and me and Mesheyle were still talking, it was alot of fun, then Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow came up on the stage with their guitar's in hand. I started to take alot of pictures a couple of both of them and some of them just by themselves, the music they played was really awesome, i recognized several of them, the only ones i know they played for sure was Flavor of the Month and Love Letter Boxes, Mesheyle said she would try to tell me the other songs later or something, so this review is not even close to being finished, but the songs they played was really cool, and the overcrowded store always loudly applauded when a song was finished. I was just having a great time, the music was good and so was the company.
The back of the same cover, this time with a picture so you can tell who they are.
(III)As the show was ending, i was devising a plan with Mesheyle, i was like okay they havent thrown away their picks, you get jons and i will get kens. Since they had to walk past us they kinda stopped because they knew Mesheyle from alot of the different shows, so while Jon was talking to her, i was talking to Ken, telling him he did a great job etc etc, and then i asked for his pick, he gave it to me and Jon gave his to Mesheyle we were both happy :). People around us were like awww man, i wanted that, oh well :). We went and got in the autograph line, the guys were so nice about signing everything, when it came to be our turn, we both took pictures of the band there and i took one with Jon and Mesheyle, it was a good picture i think, but i dont know yet. As i was leaving i saw the Main Pop Lamma dude, he looked like a regular cool person, so we both got pictures with him. It was awesome experience, this whole experience of seeing shows in smaller places is totally cool, because the bands are alot more accessible. I had a great time and i am glad that i went
