The bride got to the church at 5:35pm, a little more than half an hour late with a nervous Michael waiting at the altar and the guests sitting inside fanning themselves.
As the bride and her bridesmaid stepped out of the car... camera flashes started going off simultaneously, because you see..unbeknownst to the Bride and Groom... the local newspaper was present doing a story on the "Cyberspace Romance". The Bride was looking a glamour with her radiance in the bright sunshine.
That's when the bride started shaking uncontrollably. Since the bridal cortege was so late, they did not have the time to dilly dally at the entrance but were immediatly thrown into the wedding march... so in they went!
Sophie saw Michael standing at the altar and thought he was the most handsome groom on this earth and she was the luckiest bride for marrying him. And down the aisle she went. At the altar... Sophie was shaking like a leaf in the wind and her knees were knocking together.... she was.. after all in a room full of relatives she had never met and knew they were watching very closely.
The priest leaned over and asked if they were all ready to begin. The groom nodded and the bride shook her head saying we could always do it another day. The priest laughed and carried on with the proceedings.
After a few readings and prayers, the service came to the vows. All Michael and Sophie had to do was say "I do" then slip the rings on. But Sophie, in her nervousness, put the ring on Michael's right hand as opposed to left. But nobody noticed, not even the Bride and Groom ...until at the reception.
Then came the signing of the register for the Bride, Groom, Bestman and Bridesmaid. After much posing for the photographers, the newly wed couple made their back down the aisle outside, where they assembled for more photos with friends and family.
With the heat... everybody was keen to get to the reception and sink a couple of cold ones, so after a while the guests made their way to the reception as the new couple finished their photo session. They then hopped into the Chevy and made their way to the reception as husband and wife.
