At this very moment, it is 1:00 in the morning in Canada and we join you in thought to to celebrate this happy moment. Sophie, we know you are probably very nervous. We so dearly wish we could be with you to share this major landmark in your life.
We can't help but remember those happy memories we shared together as a family. We have all your pictures spread out in the living room and are very much in shock to see that this little happy baby of ours has metamorhosed to a beautiful and smart young woman. We always tried to give you the support and tools we felt were necessary to help you build a good life for yourself and we sincerly hope we have succeeded. We remember the times we had to convince you to try new things, to be adventurous; sometimes, we had to be very persuasive. Little did we know that one day, on your own, you would fly to the other end of the earth to start your adult life. Our hearts are filled with emotion, pride, love and happiness, certainly but also some sadness for not being with you at this moment and knowing we will be missing some of those special moments parents share with their adult children.
We are very happy for you that you have found a soul mate in Mike. In the pictures you sent us we can see this radiant expression of genuine happiness we found so endearing when you were a baby. Those images are very reassuring to us and we know you have found a good family to be part of. Mike, in the little bit of time we spent together, we were impressed by your calm temperament. your bride tells us this is an Australian trait! You radiate contentment, well-being and "joie de vivre". May the years ahead of you be filled with love, happiness, success, prosperity and serenity. May you support each other in making all your wishes come true.
So, Sophie's Grandfather Jean, Grandmother Lucie, Aunt Gemma, Godparents Dave and Diane, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, along with parents Gilles, Mariette and sister Stephanie join with the Vacietis family to wish Sophie-Anne and Michael a happy loving life together.
God bless you all!
