This web site is dedicated to the love of two.... and the history of events leading up to .. and including ... Michael and Sophie-Anne's wedding. This site is a electronic memory for Us to reflect on in the future ... as well as providing online friends some insight as to what we experienced on our special day.

The two met in late 1995 on an Internet chat site.. The State Of Insanity... he was "LoveGod" .. she was "Medusa" ... the two of them didn't exactly find ...shall we say ...likable...qualities in each other at first. They kept to their own niche and didn't have much to do with each other. After a period of time...somehow... the two of them had a conversation... which gave each of them different perspectives on each other.

Now that the two were cordial with each other... they got to know each other better... and things evolved from there. In the earlier part of 1996... Sophie moved to Vancouver, B.C ..from Hull, Quebec.... with that move .. came a deeper affection for each other..and their first conversation on the phone. Not that it did much good ... she couldn't understand a word he said ... with his Australian accent being too hard to understand without him repeating himself several times.

That first contact was the start of many.... Sophie had lost her Internet access....so over the next several months ... they spoke on the phone more often... she wrote letters to him ... he tried to write letters to her ...

After spending several thousands of dollars each on telephone calls, exchanging photos and letters, they tentatively agreed that Mike would travel to Vancouver at the end of his University in November '96.

November came around .. and he booked himself a ticket to Vancouver... they met...confirming their love for one another .... and the rest is history. After spending 1997 together in Vancouver....Sophie immigrated to Australia with Mike at the end of his stay.
