GERAKAN ORANG TUA ASUH PROPULSI

(GOTAP)

In the framework of following the Government appeal to succeed the GNOTA (Gerakan Nasional Orang Tua Asuh), IPTN Propulsion System Development Department (PSD AE) and APU & Fuel Systems Department (AFS-AE) which are joining together as Paguyuban Propulsi feel conscious to participate in this movement.

The aim of GOTAP is help and support the educational process and therefore improve the human resources and develop the mentality of the nation. Furthermore, GOTAP should work together with other foundation to prepare the strong and tough future generation in order to guarantee the continuity of nation and state life.

The members of Paguyuban Propulsi as a part of the community who aware of the important mean of the education want to contribute their capacity and finance in order that the achieving of the national education.

I. BACKGROUND

Paguyuban Propulsi plans this social activity with the consideration as following :

The activity of Paguyuban Propulsi for this time has the theme : “Paguyuban Propulsi actively participate in the GNOTA”.

V. ACTIVITIES

Paguyuban Propulsi collects the fund from its members. The fund is used for :

For the students the supports are given as the scholarships in the certain period.

A. Selection Criteria

The scholarships is provided for the elementary and junior high school students with good performance but having financial problem. The data of students performance can be collected from the schools and the economical condition data of their parents may be provided by local government or their RT/RW.

The students are selected based on their performance and economical background. The number of students who get the scholarships depend on the amount of the available fund.

B. Implementation

Several of the Paguyuban Propulsi members act as foster parents to the student. They have to monitor and guide the students who get the scholarships in order to achieve the targets as mentioned above.

The scholarships which are given to the students are based on the GNOTA standard :

Rp 60,000.00 annually for an elementary student

Rp 90,000.00 annually for a junior high school student

This aid is given to the students through their schools. Books and pencils are directly provided to the students. This fund is also used to buy the course book and the school uniform (for the poor students there is a dispensation of tuition fee).

To observe the performance of the students (after they get the aid), the Paguyuban Propulsi members is required to collect the progress report from the schools.

VI. ACTIVITY SCHEDULE

The activity of Paguyuban Propulsi is started from February 1998.

VII. ACTIVITY LOCATION

The secretariat of this movement is located in Propulsion System Development Department (PSD-AE) Nusantara Aircraft Industries Ltd. (PT IPTN), GPT Buildings 4th floor Jl. Pajajaran 154 Bandung 40174.

The operation area is in The Municipality and Regency of Bandung, especially the area around IPTN.
