Right click on Network Neighborhood scroll down to properties it will open this.
It will open this window as you can see I have mine already installed. On yours if you have them installed ok we will configure them later. Ok now click add
That will open this window.
Now we will start adding the software to run the network. Click Client then add
Choose which client you would like to use I recommend Microsoft. When you click on client than Add it will then open the window below click on Microsoft (if you're going to use Microsoft) then select Client for Microsoft Networks then Ok.
The next thing in the Add window is adapter yours should already be installed so we will skip that next thing we will install is the Protocol's (these are the pieces that let the computers speak to each other)
This is what will come up when you click Protocol then Add. Select Microsoft then the protocols you want to install. I suggest NetBEUI and TCP/IP (see below)
Select one at a time we will discuss the settings for TCP/IP in a few more frames. Select OK the next thing we need to install is a Service
Just Select the highlighted one.
Next up configuring TCP/IP NetBEUI is self configuring so we wont discuss that.
