Re: ICHTFL (I Can Hear The Fat Lady)

In a move more suited to politics than to roller hockey, Brian Nemetz Captain of the Fury, conceded the 8th and final playoff spot to the Coastal Pirates.

Mr. Nemetz was driven to make his announcement after the Vultures all but eliminated the Fury from playoff contention. Oddly enough, the Coastal Pirates are currently in 9th place and will require a victory against the Wolfpack as well as a loss by the Vultures in order to take advantage of the exit of the Fury from playoff contention.

When asked to comment on why he chose to concede to the Coastal Pirates as opposed to the Vultures, Brian had this to say:

"They (the Vultures) are not that good". Well, maybe so Brian, but these Vultures managed to beat your Fury twice in one season.

"No way the Vultures make the playoffs." Brian continued. -- Well without sounding like Wayne (or is it Garth) --- WAY.

Come on Nemetz -- get serious -- the Coastal Pirates have to beat one of the hottest teams in order to make the playoffs -- you really think they can do it?

"I know they can do it" Nemetz confidently boasted -- When asked if he was willing to bet one of his defenseman who is known to be wanted by another team, he was slightly less confident...
"Well ... there's no way the Vultures are going to win on Sunday... but maybe the Wolfpack have a shot against the Coastal Pirates --- you sure you want to bet a defenseman? How about a goalie -- we got a couple of those this season....."

Nemetz also complained about the last picture of him posted on the web page. So you want a new picture Nemetz? You got it!
